I cant believe it is nearly three weeks since my last post! So much crafting has happened!
Here are some highlights...
Happy Day...
This 12x12 page I made at a class with Helen at ITC a couple of weeks ago.
The frame is made by transferring a design from paper to sticky back canvas.
The design is quite simple, it just needs a bit more bling (a project for another day!)
This picture is my sisters project from the same class...I have also been very disorganised with my ATC's for the design team at 'Crafting Time'.
The two themes below are:
March Sketch:
Used Lilly of the Valley cut and colour designs as the centre piece...
Steam Punk Canvas:
After doing that class with Helen a couple of weeks ago, I decide it was time to play with sticky back canvas on my own!
I have some really nice double sided steam punk style pages (Graphic 45) with a travel theme.
I chose two distinct images and stuck them image side to the canvas. I scored the back with scissors and then soaked te paper in water.
After much wetting and rubbing, I finally revealed the image that I wanted.
I had a spare piece, so I cut it up to transfer an image of a plane and of a suit case.
I then decided to sew on ribbon, brocade, buttons and beads using different coloured embroidery silk.
The purple floss has been couched to hold it in place.
I have also used some printed papers from an old stash I found at my Mums.
Not absolutely sure about the final outcome, but I can see that working on canvas has lots of potential!
